Macau.- Wynn Resorts has announced plans for a major expansion of Wynn Palace through the development a new ultra-luxury hotel tower The Enclave at Wynn Palace is expected to cost between US$900m and US$950m.
The project, unveiled in the company’s first quarter 2026 earnings presentation, will add a 432-key all-suite tower adjacent to Wynn Palace’s east entrance. According to the company, the new development will increase Wynn Palace’s room inventory by around 25 per cent and its suite count by approximately 50 per cent, reinforcing Wynn’s strategy of targeting the high-end and premium mass segments.
Construction is expected to begin in the second half of 2026, and Wynn expects it to take roughly two and a half years. The project cost estimate includes capitalised interest.
Wynn continues to invest heavily across its Macau portfolio under the terms of the city’s renewed gaming concessions. In its earnings presentation, the company highlighted several ongoing and planned capital projects, including the Wynn Palace Event and Entertainment Center, a new theatre and resident show, and room refresh initiatives at Wynn Macau.
Wynn said concession-related capital expenditure projects in Macau are “well underway,” with The Enclave representing one of the group’s largest near-term investments. The company expects Macau project capex to total between US$400m and US$450m in 2026, including the Enclave development, subject to government approvals.
During the first quarter of 2026, Macau operations generated Adjusted Property EBITDAR of US$279m, up from US$252m a year earlier, while mass table drop climbed 19.3 per cent year-on-year to US$3.88bn. Wynn said recently completed enhancements at Wynn Palace, including the new Gourmet Pavilion and Chairman’s Club expansion, helped strengthen its premium positioning and attract higher-end visitation.
